 At TLC Plus Daycare, our story begins with a mother’s dream and a whole lot of heart. What started as a small in-home daycare has grown into a trusted, community-rooted center where children and families are welcomed with open arms—and open hearts.

Our Beginning

In 1991, Florence Mazzer opened the doors to TLC Plus Daycare in the comfort of her own home with just five children. Fueled by a deep passion for early childhood development and a commitment to supporting working families, Florence quickly built a reputation for love, care, and quality education.

Her home soon became the foundation for something even greater. As more families discovered the warmth and excellence of her care, Florence expanded—opening her first official center on Platt Avenue in Saddle Brook, and later, a second location on Market Street in the same town.

A Family Tradition Continues

After 34 years of dedicated service, Florence passed the torch to her daughter Melanie, who had spent years training, learning, and working alongside her mother. In 2023, Melanie officially took over TLC Plus Daycare and has been proudly continuing the legacy ever since.

With the same values at heart—trust, compassion, safety, growth, and community—Melanie brings her own passion and modern insight to the daycare, while preserving the love and personal connection that made TLC Plus so special from the start.

Melanie’s Mission

As a second-generation daycare owner, Melanie believes in hands-on, heart-first child care. With extensive education in early childhood development and years of real-world experience, she leads both TLC Plus Daycare locations with both professionalism and warmth.

Her mission? To create a space that feels like the next best place to home—where every child is known and celebrated, and every parent feels like a partner in their child’s journey.
